Rod Shaw graduated in Graphics and Ceramics and went on to work as an illustrator in London during the 1960s with clients including British Rail, Radio Times and BBC TV, and as an Art Director with JWT and Young &Rubicam before returning to Shropshire.
Rod has exhibited in mixed shows in West End and galleries in St Ives, MOMA Wales, the Oriel Davies Gallery and Chester City Art Gallery. He was included in The Voice of the Century Show.
No Picnic for Sam is Rod’s debut book after a life in visual art. His only previous experience of working with the written word was a small amount of copywriting.
